Job summary

360X Staffing is seeking a DRG Revenue Integrity Auditor (Inpatient Coding Auditor) for a full-time, permanent role in Chicago. The candidate will review inpatient records, validate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, and ensure proper DRG assignment to protect revenue integrity.

Requires 3+ years inpatient coding/auditing, expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, and familiarity with hospitals EMRs. CCS or RHIT preferred; HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient coding experience.
• CCS or RHIT preferred.
• Experience with physician queries and CDI best practices.
• Familiarity with hospital EMRs (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records to ensure codes reflect the clinical story.
• Verify ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes and DRG assignment.
• Create and send physician queries when documentation is unclear.
• Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and PHI handling.
• Provide audit results and support training/mentoring of staff.
