Job summary

C&M Dredging Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Dredge Oiler/maintenance tech to perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, and other dredging equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

You will monitor machinery, document maintenance, and support repairs, while following MSHA/OSHA safety rules and company policies; lifting up to 75 pounds and working outdoors in various weather. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dredge Oiler or in marine/heavy equipment maintenance.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather.
• MSHA/OSHA certification a plus.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Commitment to safety and strong work ethic.

Job description

Performed preventive maintenance, lubrication, and servicing of diesel engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, generators, and other dredging equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Monitored machinery performance, conducted routine inspections, identified mechanical issues, and assisted with repairs to minimize downtime. Maintained fluid levels, changed filters, cleaned equipment, and kept accurate maintenance records. Worked closely with engineers, mechanics, and deck crews while following company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and lockout/tagout practices.
