Job summary

Hobart Brothers LLC, an ITW company, seeks a dependable Draw Bench Operator in Ohio to safely operate draw benches, perform setup/changeovers, and maintain quality. The role requires adherence to work instructions, ability to lift 65 pounds, and teamwork with leads, maintenance, and QC staff.

Responsibilities include reading micrometers, recording checks, and keeping a clean, safe workstation while supporting continuous production and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Previous draw bench experience preferred.
• Ability to meet production rates.
• Able to lift approx. 65 pounds continually.
• Possess good time management skills.
• Be a driven self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Able to meet safety and attendance expectations.
• Possess an excellent quality record.
• Strong attitude, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Obtain and maintain a valid forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate draw benches to provide high-value, quality products.
• Follow work instructions and process specs for setup and production.
• Track draw bench changeovers and complete setup/changeovers promptly.
• Read micrometers and perform routine quality checks/visual inspections.
• Enter quality checks into Route Card and flag nonconforming products.
• Monitor the draw bench to ensure production of quality product.
• Report maintenance issues and communicate with team leads and maintenance staff.
• Maintain housekeeping to meet expectations; operate other equipment if needed.

Job Description

Safely Operate draw benches to provide our customers with products of the highest value, quality, and performance.

• Operate safely and identify/correct unsafe situations.
• Follow work Instructions and process specifications for machine setup and production.
• Keep track of drawbench changeovers.
• Complete machine setup/changeover in a timely manner.
• Read micrometers.
• Perform routine quality checks/Visual inspections
• Enter quality checks into Route Card.
• Place nonconforming products on hold.
• Monitor the draw bench to ensure production of quality product.
• Report maintenance issues as they arise.
• Communicate with PCs, Team Leads, Process Techs, Maintenance, etc.
• Perform housekeeping to meet expectations.
• Must be willing to operate other equipment if needed.
