Job summary

SCHOTT AG in Massachusetts seeks a skilled operator to join our Lighting and Imaging manufacturing team. Under supervision, you will set up and operate belt draw towers and manage multiple towers.

You will perform inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure products meet process specifications while following 5S housekeeping and EH&S rules. SAP data entry and daily record keeping are also required.

• Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
• Maintains daily records, labor sheets and routers.
• Observes Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.

Your Contribution

• Under close supervision, sets up and operates various types of belt draw towers; simultaneously operates multiple draw towers.
• Performs visual and mechanical inspections to ensure that the product being produced conforms to process specifications; refers questionable product to more experienced operators.
• Performs routine machine/equipment maintenance and inspection.
• Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program.
• Able to meet utilization targets and standard times.
• Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
• Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
• Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.

Hourly Pay Ranges: Level C ($20.00-$22.50); Level B ($23.00-$25.50); Level A ($26.00-$28.50) Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
