Job summary

SCHOTT North America is seeking a production operator to set up and operate belt draw towers, perform basic inspections, and run multiple towers to meet production targets. You will enter data into SAP, maintain daily records, observe 5S practices, and adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety rules; strong English communication is essential.

This is an hourly, full-time position with pay levels ranging from $20.00 to $28.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience; US Person status may be

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, sets up and operates various types of belt draw towers; simultaneously operates multiple draw towers.
• Performs visual and mechanical inspections to ensure that the product being produced conforms to process specifications; refers questionable product to more experienced operators.
• Performs routine machine/equipment maintenance and inspection.
• Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program.
• Able to meet utilization targets and standard times.
• Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
• Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
• Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.
