Job summary

SCHOTT North America is hiring for an on-site manufacturing operator in Southbridge, MA. You will set up and run belt draw towers, inspect products, and perform routine maintenance in a team environment.

Excellent manual dexterity and basic English communication are required; US Person status may be needed. Starting pay reflects hourly wage ranges across levels and benefits support varies by site.

• Performs routine machine/equipment maintenance and inspection.
• Maintains housekeeping per the 5S program.
• Able to meet utilization targets and standard times.
• Enters Database/SAP transactions accurately.
• Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
• Follows Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.

Your Contribution

• Under close supervision, sets up and operates various types of belt draw towers; simultaneously operates multiple draw towers.
• Performs visual and mechanical inspections to ensure that the product being produced conforms to process specifications; refers questionable product to more experienced operators.
• Performs routine machine/equipment maintenance and inspection.
• Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program.
• Able to meet utilization targets and standard times.
• Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
• Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
• Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.
