Job summary

The New School’s School of Drama invites a motivated student to join the Bank Street Programs as a Drama/Bank Street Programs, Student Assistant. You will help with daily operations, scheduling, and communications for drama production and program activities on bank street.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and interested in non-profit, performing arts, or higher education administration. This on-campus role pays an hourly rate of $17 with 10–20 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite (Drive, Calendar).
  • Interest in arts administration and theater practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations with scheduling, paperwork, database upkeep, and general tasks.
  • Staff Bank Street’s Welcome Hub and answer student, faculty and visitor questions.
  • Assist with faculty IT needs, mail distribution, supplies, and events.
  • Update College of Performing Arts Calendar and post monthly on Call Board.
  • Support classes and small projects as assigned.
  • Manage supply orders and restocking.
  • Create and circulate materials for Arts Letters.
  • Maintain photo archives, scripts and production books.
  • Maintain physical supplies in Bank Street as requested.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
