Harris Kocher Smith is seeking a Water Resource Engineer (Drainage Design Engineer) to work on land development projects for private and public clients. The position offers a hybrid or in-office work arrangement.

About This Job

As a Water Resources Engineer, you will support project delivery through design, coordination with teams, clients, and municipalities. This role provides training and development toward project management.

Essential Functions and Duties

1. Develop drainage studies, reports, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, designs, and drawings per client specifications and project guidance.
2. Produce engineering plans, specifications, and documentation following company standards and legal requirements.
3. Perform quality checks on work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Qualifications include a B.S. in Engineering from an accredited school, 2+ years of drainage experience (local Denver experience preferred), proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience with stormwater design and hydrologic/hydraulic software.
5. Colorado EIT Certification is preferred or ability to acquire it.
6. Must be team-oriented, capable of problem-solving, and able to handle multiple projects with various project managers.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year, based on skills and experience.
