Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. in Irvine, CA seeks a Drainage Designer/EIT-2 to work on municipal and state projects involving streets, drainage, utilities, and traffic engineering.

You will develop designs and contract documents, operate as a project engineer, and contribute to planning, scheduling, and team collaboration. The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree, EIT (or PE within a year), 2+ years civil experience (or 5+ with international registration), and proficiency with AutoCAD/MicroStation.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years civil experience or 5+ years with post-graduate degree and international registration/chartering.
• Ability to test and pass the PE exam within a year or already passed the PE exam.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D experience a plus.
• Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, QGIS, and Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpretation of hydrology and hydraulic reports.
• Development of hydrology and hydraulic models.
• Use open-source software and tools for geographic information analysis.
• Establish and maintain schedules and provide progress reports.
