Job summary

TYPSA US is seeking a Drainage Designer/EIT-2 for our Irvine, CA office. The role emphasizes independent design development for municipal and state projects in drainage, roads, and utilities, with potential responsibilities as a project engineer and occasional travel within California and neighboring states.

Fieldwork readiness is required. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with EIT or PE eligibility within a year, plus relevant CAD/GIS software experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT status or PE eligibility within 12 months preferred.
• Experience with hydrology, hydraulics, and design codes advantageous.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpretation of hydrology and hydraulic reports
• Review, interpretation of design codes and guidelines
• Develop hydrology and hydraulic models
• Use open-source software for GIS analysis
• Establish and maintain schedules; provide progress reports
