Job summary

Townsend Energy in Danvers, MA is seeking a Drain Service Technician to perform residential drain cleaning and fixture replacements, with duties including diagnosing issues and advising customers on repairs. The role offers daily 7:00am–4:00pm schedules, Monday–Friday with occasional overtime.

We provide cross-training across gas, oil, propane, and HVAC, a take-home vehicle and gas card, company uniforms, and ongoing education with a strong focus on long-term careers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of drain cleaning/plumbing experience.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and operate equipment.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• MA plumbing apprentice license desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential drain cleaning using snakes and augers.
• Replace toilets, sinks and other fixtures as needed.
• Diagnose drain issues and advise customers on repairs/replacements.
• Recommend repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance solutions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles for safe operation.
• Follow safety procedures and industry standards on all calls.
• Complete accurate job reports, invoices, and service documentation.

Drain Service Technician | $28.00- $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Work Schedule: 7:00am to 4:00pm | Monday through Friday | occasional overtime

What You Will Be Doing:

• Performed residential drain cleaning services using snakes, and augers
• Replace toilets, sinks and other fixtures as needed
• Diagnosed drain issues, consult with customers on repairs / replacements needed and conduct the work
• Recommended repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance solutions to customers
• Maintained tool and equipment, and service vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Followed company safety procedures and industry standards on all service calls
• Completed accurate job reports, invoices, and service documentation using ServiceTitan

What We Are Looking For:

• 2 + years of experience in drain cleaning / plumbing
• Able to use and operate drain cleaning equipment
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing systems
• Comfortable working in confined spaces as needed
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
• In trade school for plumbing or interested in schooling for plumbing
• MA plumbing apprentice license - desired, but not required
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
