Job summary

McQuillan Home Services is seeking a Drains Service Technician in Maplewood, MN. You will perform drain cleaning and diagnose plumbing issues for residential clients, starting from initial call to job completion.

You're expected to provide upfront pricing, maintain clear communication, and educate customers on preventive maintenance while following safety protocols and local codes. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of plumbing-related training preferred.
• 1-3 years of drain cleaning or plumbing service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform drain cleaning using cable machines, hydro-jetting, and other industry tools.
• Diagnose and resolve blockages, backups, and slow drains.
• Provide upfront pricing and obtain customer approval before starting work.
• Document notes, photos, and parts used for each job.
• Educate customers on preventive maintenance and proper drain care.
• Coordinate with dispatch and other technicians to keep jobs on schedule.
• Follow safety protocols, company policies, and local plumbing codes.
