Job summary

BRDG Studios is seeking a Draftsperson to turn creative ideas into buildable drawings. You’ll work with designers, engineers, and fabrication teams to develop clear, accurate shop drawings, elevations, sections, and assemblies, translating concepts into practical plans.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in drafting or related fields, strong technical drawing fundamentals, and proficiency in CAD or 3D modeling.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in drafting, architecture, exhibit design, experiential design, millwork, fabrication, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in technical drawing, dimensioning, scale, and spatial understanding.
• Proficiency in relevant CAD and/or 3D modeling software.
• Portfolio or examples of work demonstrating drafting, 3D modeling, technical documentation, or fabrication-related work.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D drawings including floor plans, sections, elevations, details, and basic assemblies.
• Create clear, accurate production drawings with dimensions, material callouts, hardware, finishes, and other relevant details.
• Work with senior designers and engineers to develop concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
• Follow and contribute to BRDG’s drafting standards, templates, and detail libraries.
• Incorporate design and fabrication feedback and maintain organized drawing revisions and documentation.
• Prepare CAD files for CNC routing and other digital fabrication processes as guided.
• Organize and prepare files for CNC, laser cutting, 3D printing, and other fabrication methods.
