Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer, is seeking a design drafter to support the project design team in Spartanburg, SC. You will prepare shop tickets, shop cards, and erection drawings using AutoCAD.

The role reports to the Engineer Lead and requires attention to detail and collaboration with the design team. Applicants should have an associate degree in design drafting or related field, with a background in structural or precast design being a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Design Drafting, AutoCAD, or related field.
• Experience in structural design and/or precast design is a plus.
• Less than a year of related experience required; equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Read and plot erection details and drawings.
• Create shop cards using AutoCAD and ensure conformity with detailing standards.
• Prepare production shop cards and erection drawings under supervision.
• Scrub red-lines and present shop cards for verification by Project Lead.

Prepare production shop card and erection drawings for basic structures under the supervision of the Engineer Lead.This job is onsite located in Spartanburg, SC.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Read and plot erection details and drawings.Confer with Project Lead about shop card detailing priorities and review erection drawings and details.Create shop cards by utilizing AutoCAD software, and ensure drawings conform to standard detailing practices.Present scrubbed shop cards to Project Lead for their verification of correctness.Scrub red-lines from Project Lead check printsDetail Steel Cards from sketches or markups provided by Project Designers or Design Engineers.Job Specifications or Qualifications:Education: Associate degree (2 year), technical school, vocational program, or equivalent educational program in Design Drafting, AutoCAD, or a related field of study is required.Preferred qualification: Experience or educational background in structural design and/or precast design is a plus.Experience: Less than a year prior or related experience required.
