Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading precast concrete manufacturer, is seeking a Designer Drafter to support the design team in Spartanburg, SC. You will prepare shop tickets and erection drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three months of related drafting experience, plus coursework in CAD. You will collaborate with Project Leads and Design Engineers to produce precise shop cards and BOMs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least three months of related experience or training.
• At least one course of instruction in computer aided drafting (i.e. AutoCAD) required.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD software with a focus in precast structures and/or commercial/residential construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop tickets for precast structures using AutoCAD; support design team on projects.
• Prepare erection drawings for basic structures under supervision of Chief Designer or Design Engineer.
• Read, plot, and review erection details and shop drawings.
• Create shop cards from shop cards and callouts; ensure drawings conform to detailing practices.
• Ensure carpentry, steel, and plant production have accurate representations of concrete pieces.
• Complete a Bill of Materials from shop card callouts; plot shop cards for verification.
