Job summary

Tindall Corporation is seeking a CAD Drafter to support precast concrete projects in the Southeast. You will prepare shop tickets and erection drawings, read and plot details, and create shop cards using AutoCAD under the guidance of the Chief Designer or Design Engineer.

The role emphasizes accuracy in detailing, coordination with project leads, and maintaining clear representations of concrete pieces for carpentry and steel shops. A high school diploma or GED and AutoCAD training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least three months of related experience and/or training.
• At least one course in computer aided drafting (AutoCAD) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop tickets for precast structures using CAD software and support the design team.
• Prepare erection drawings under supervision of the Chief Designer or Design Engineer.
• Read and plot erection details and drawings.
• Create shop cards via CAD programs and ensure drawings conform to detailing standards.
• Coordinate with Project Lead on priorities and review drawings for accuracy.

Prepare erection drawings for basic structures under the supervision of the Chief Designer or Design Engineer.Read and plot erection details and drawings.Confer with Project Lead about the shop card detailing priorities and review erection drawings and details.Create shop cards by utilizing a computer-aided drafting or modeling programs, such as AutoCAD, and ensure drawings conform to standard detailing practices.Ensure that the carpentry shop, steel shop, and plant production have a clear and accurate representation of the concrete piece that is being produced.Complete a Bill of Materials from callouts on shop cards.Plot shop cards for personnel and Project Designer checking.Check shop cards against erection drawings & details for accuracy and revise as necessary.Present checked shop cards to Project Lead for their check.Scrub red-lines from Project Lead check prints.10. Present scrubbed shop cards to Project Lead for their verification of correctness.Detail Steel Cards from sketches or markups provided by Project Designers or Design Engineers.Perform additional duties as assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED required. At least three months of related experience and/or training and at least one course of instruction in computer aided drafting (i.e. AutoCAD) required.KNOWLEDGE.
