Job summary

Legend Brands is seeking a Drafter II to collaborate with design engineers in producing drawings from sketches and existing files using CAD tools. You will create and maintain part and assembly drawings, supporting the change control process and updating relevant databases.

The role involves generating BOMs, handling ECOs/ECRs, and ensuring revision-controlled drawings in a PDM vault, with interaction across QA, Vendors, Buyers, and Manufacturing.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Drafter II is responsible for working with design engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images.Utilize CAD tools to create and maintain individual part and assembly drawings.Support the change control process, complete engineering change orders and update engineering and manufacturing databases.

Essential Duties

• Ensure product documentation of drawings, revisions, engineering change requests, and engineering change orders are accurate and complete
• Respond to production and/or process problems through Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and by conferring with the engineers
• Support new product development by creating part and assembly drawings under the direction of the product designer
• Provide Bills of Materials (BOM) for new product or improvements to existing products and maintain BOMs in material planning computer system (MRP 9000)
• Create Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for communicating and recording new products and product changes.
• Prepare miscellaneous diagrams, charts and drawings
• Maintain revision-controlled drawings and models in a PDM vault.
• Communicate with QA, Vendors, Buyers, Inventory and Manufacturing regarding new and revised drawings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional knowledge to qualify for Drafter II classification

• Basic proficiency in Word and Excel
• Basic creation of part model and assemblies. Follow the QC drawing and the drawing release process.
• Understanding of CAD filing system on the main network, PDM, and in SharePoint
• Process ECR's and ECO's
• Basic knowledge of ERP databases
• Understanding and practicing SW configurations; creation of new and editing existing configurations
• Applying sheet metal properties for Press Brake based on material type and thickness

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years related work experience required.

Hiring Range

Between $34.00/hr.- $38.00/hr.
