Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a nationally recognized manufacturer in Cottonwood, MN to recruit a Drafter for full-time, direct-hire employment. You will create construction documents, review CAD models, and develop efficient panel layouts for building projects.

The role emphasizes AutoCAD proficiency, strong math skills, and clear communication with clients and internal teams. On-site schedule, benefits include health insurance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of drafting and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Degree and/or experience in construction, building science, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit or similar drafting software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed construction documents, SIP shop drawings, and panel plans for a variety of building projects.
• Review project specifications, CAD models, and drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements.
• Analyze project information and determine the most effective panel layouts and design solutions.
• Communicate technical information with clients, project managers, engineers, and internal team members.
• Maintain organized project documentation while managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
