MacLean Power, LLC is seeking a Drafter Designer to support the Royal Switchgear line. You will draft and model CAD drawings to support prototypes, final designs, manufacturing, and quality specifications, working closely with development, programmers, and manufacturing engineers.

The role emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to 5S and safety policies. The position involves creating 3D models, detailed drawings, BOM preparation, and updating drawings as designs evolve.

Formación

• Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program required.
• 0–2 years of experience typical for the role.
• Must be able to interpret work instructions and follow engineering drawings.
• Ability to lift/move heavy objects and maintain physical stamina.

Responsabilidades

• Interact with development, programmer, and manufacturing engineer to develop CAD models and engineering drawings for prototypes and production.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for product development.
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting from production and prototypes.
• Support testing, process development and documentation.
• Develop layouts and assembly drawings; manage data in Product Data Management systems.
• Prepare BOMs for production implementation.
• Adhere to 5S, safety, quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Drafter Designer - Royal Switchgear

Performs design and/or drafting assignments.

Job Duties

• Interact with the development, programmer, and manufacturing engineer to develop CAD models and engineering drawings to support the production of prototypes, final design, manufacturing and quality specifications
• Responsible for the creation of 3D computer aided design (CAD) software models and detailed drawings for development of products
• Assist engineers with hands-on troubleshooting efforts from production, prototypes and processes
• Assist engineers with testing, process development/ process modifications and engineering documentation
• Develop layouts, engineering drawings, detailed drawings and assembly drawings
• Take project from concept to production release
• Perform maintenance of CAD files in response to engineering changes
• Interface with other engineers to verify that data pertaining to product specification is documented accurately
• Verify that the appropriate linkages are established in the Product Data Management system when creating/modifying models and drawings
• Prepare bill of materials for product implementation into production
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Perform work under direct supervision
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
• Typically require accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience
