Job summary

H&P is seeking a skilled Drafter/Designer to convert design specs into detailed 2D/3D drawings and BOMs for proposal presentations and fabrication. You will create technical drawings, develop 3D models, and revise existing drawings while adhering to H&P drafting standards.

The role requires an associate degree or CAD/drafting training, 5+ years of drafting experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, and PDM tools. Some travel to facilities and rigs is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or completion of CAD/drafting tech program.
• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience in related field.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience with PDM software and SolidWorks/Inventor or equivalent.
• Knowledge of structural, piping detailing and electrical/controls drafting preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Excellent organizational and team communication abilities.
• Team-focused with professional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts, general arrangements and detailed drawings in 2D/3D with BOMs.
• Translate design specs into working diagrams for equipment fabrication and machining.
• Create 3D models and drawings using engineering data.
• Revise existing drawings from sketches and layouts.
• Maintain drawing records and drafting tasks.
• Prepare BOMs for assigned designs.
• Review others' drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Travel to fabrication/assembly sites as needed.
