Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical CAD/drafting training completed.
• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk Vault, Inventor or equivalent.
• Knowledge of structural, piping detailing and electrical drafting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate design specifications into detailed working diagrams using CAD.
• Create technical drawings and 3D models with measurements from engineering.
• Revise existing drawings from sketches or layouts.
• Maintain drawing records and drafting tasks.
• Prepare bill of materials for designs.
• Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Learn about drilling rig equipment to build domain knowledge.
• Develop and revise drawings per company drafting standards.
