ASRC Federal is seeking a Drafter/ CAD Operator IV for Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center on Plum Island, NY. The role focuses on developing and maintaining baseline configurations for complex systems and equipment, utilizing AutoCAD for drawings, and supporting project planning and maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates will hold a four-year engineering degree and have extensive CAD experience, with a willingness to work in a demanding facility environment and comply with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in maintenance and operations field.
• Extensive education or experience working with CAD design software.
• PPE awareness and ability to wear safety equipment as required.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain baseline configuration for systems and equipment.
• Facilitate change tracking and authorization including drawing updates, certification and test documentation and system operating parameters.
• Utilize AutoCAD systems to execute assignments.
• Develop the configuration library and change history log for all systems and equipment.
• Participate in project and work planning by reviewing project plans for technical content.
• Compare project plans to configuration library status and change history.
• Operate AutoCAD to design and document systems and processes.
• Assist in development of Preventive Maintenance plans for facilities, systems, and equipment.
• Provide feedback on work performed in accordance with design plans.
• Consult with operations staff on routine and non-routine work projects and maintenance.
• Provide CAD as-built/redline drawings and technical support to managers.
