Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear in Arlington, TX is seeking a Drafter to generate full manufacturing prints and support shop floor processes. You will create detailed drawings meeting standards for assemblies and components, and you will use the ERP system to build bills of materials and routings.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent, solid-edge drafting skills, some AutoCAD, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team on a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Solid Edge for 3D drafting is required.
• 2D AutoCAD experience is a plus, but not required.
• Attention to detail and clear communication are essential.
• Full-time availability with occasional Saturday overtime and adherence to attendance.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to work in a team setting.

Drafter

Are you ready to bring your Drafting skills to a team that values precision and innovation? At Martin Sprocket & Gear, we’re dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings with excellence, and we're looking for skilled Drafters like you!

What You’ll Do

• Generate full manufacturing prints: Create detailed drawings that meet all required standards for equipment and part assemblies.
• ERP System work: Use the ERP system to create bills of materials and shop routings.
• Collaborate with shop personnel: Work with the team on the shop floor to ensure all manufacturing specifications are met.
• Safety adherence: Follow safety protocols and wear all required PPE for the duration of time in a safety-sensitive area.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum education/experience: Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3D drafting skills: Proficiency in Solid Edge or similar 3D modeling software is required.
• Supplemental experience in 2D AutoCAD is a plus, but not required.
• Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and good communication in all tasks.
• Availability: Full-time, with occasional Saturday overtime as needed, adherence to attendance and company policies.
• Mechanical knowledge: Familiarity with basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Reliability and accuracy: Commitment to reliable work with a high standard of accuracy in drawings and specifications.

Schedule

• 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
