Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking a Drafter to generate detailed manufacturing prints, use the ERP system to build BOMs and shop routings, and collaborate with shop personnel on the floor to ensure specifications are met.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent, strong Solid Edge 3D drafting skills, and familiarity with 2D AutoCAD. This full-time role on 1st shift offers stability, benefits, and growth opportunities.

At Martin Sprocket & Gear, we’re dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings with excellence, and we're looking for skilled Drafters like you!

What You’ll Do:

• Generate full manufacturing prints: Create detailed drawings that meet all required standards for equipment and part assemblies.
• ERP System work: Use the ERP system to create bills of materials and shop routings.
• Collaborate with shop personnel: Work with the team on the shop floor to ensure all manufacturing specifications are met.
• Safety adherence: Follow safety protocols and wear all required PPE for the duration of time in a safety-sensitive area.

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum education/experience: Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3D drafting skills: Proficiency in Solid Edge or similar 3D modeling software is required.
• Supplemental experience in 2D AutoCAD is a plus, but not required.
• Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and good communication in all tasks.
• Availability: Full-time, with occasional Saturday overtime as needed, adherence to attendance and company policies.
• Mechanical knowledge: Familiarity with basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Reliability and accuracy: Commitment to reliable work with a high standard of accuracy in drawings and specifications.

Your Schedule:

• 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
