Job summary

Moonlight Molds in Los Angeles is seeking a seasoned architectural drafter with AutoCAD expertise to produce shop drawings detailing layout, profiles, attachments, reinforcements and part drawings. BIM experience is a plus and communication is essential.

The ideal candidate will translate concepts into precise technical drawings, collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop design documents and construction plans.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
Minimum of 2+ years of architectural drafting experience using AutoCAD.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with accuracy.
Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methods.

Responsibilities

Drafting and Design: Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and schematics using AutoCAD.
Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
Revisions and Updates: Modify and update existing drawings based on feedback, design changes, and project requirements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
Standards Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications.
Site Visits: Occasionally visit project sites to gather information, verify measurements, and ensure design feasibility.
Quality Control: Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate design intent and technical details to stakeholders.

Job Description Architectural cast products manufacturer seeks CAD operator/detailer to produce shop drawings detailing layout, profiles, attachments, reinforcements and part drawings. Immediate opening for a seasoned architectural drafter with commercial building construction experience. Expertise in AutoCAD 2012 or newer. Experience with BIM and other 3D modeling programs a plus. Must be self motivated, team player and great communication skills.
