• Produce floor plans, layouts, and drawings for GES trade shows and events using AutoCAD Release 2018 software.
• Ensure the show/event layout is properly designed and drawn according to specifications outlined by the Client Services Manager and Client.
• Ensure all Fire Department codes and regulations are followed on each floor plan.
• Submit all floor plans to Fire Department jurisdictions in a timely manner and obtain approval before the show opening.
• Keep all facilities information current and accurate in assigned cities/regions.
• Maintain drawings of all convention and meeting room facilities assigned.
• Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
• Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
• Maintain all revisions of project drawings and upload the updated drawings to the internal drive when completed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary for the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in drafting using AutoCAD software version 2018 or higher.
• Convention and Trade Show experience is preferred but not required; industry-specific training will be provided.
• Proficient in computer skills including Excel and Word.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Work performed mainly in an office setting—sitting at a computer.
• Repetitive motion involved in 90% of work (e.g., constant keying, grasping objects).
• May need to lift and maneuver 20 lb rolls of paper for plotters.
