Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a full-time Drafter to create 2D P&ID drawings for midstream oil and gas projects using CADWorx P&ID.

Responsibilities include developing P&ID’s from existing designs, incorporating redlines, and applying drafting standards with custom menus and routines; travel may be required to vendor or client sites.

The ideal candidate will have basic AUTOCAD/CADWorx P&ID knowledge and familiarity with Vault; ability to work independently and with teams, meeting due dates.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering and design teams.

1.0 SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Drafter will be primarily responsible for the creation of 2D P&ID drawings for midstream oil and gas production using CADWorx P&ID.

2.0 REPORTS TO / SUPERVISES

Reports To: Design Manager

3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have the following general/minimum responsibilities:

• Develop 2D P&ID’s base on existing design and/or new designs.
• Interpret redlines from the engineering team to incorporate into existing or new P&ID’s
• Utilize custom CUI menus, LISP routines and drafting standards.

4.0 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

The following education, experience and knowledge are preferred for this position:

• Basic understanding of AUTOCAD, CADWorx P&ID, Vault.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc..
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering and design teams.
• Ability to work multiple tasks with limited supervision to deliver assignments on or before their respective due dates.
• Understanding of drafting standards and quality requirements.

5.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Occasional trips to shop environments which may include exposure to dust, dirt and forklift traffic.
• Frequently sitting and operating a computer.
• Some travel between different company locations and for vendor and/or client contact.
