Job summary

National Trench Safety, LLC. is seeking a CAD Drafter in Houston, TX to support engineering and process facilities with CAD drafting and drawing/design management activities, alongside engineering project needs across the company.

You will work with Engineers and Salesmen to develop basic engineering plans and Sales drawings, and prepare drawings from rough sketches and instructions using CAD and other design software. Knowledge of OSHA/trench/shoring requirements is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Familiarity with OSHA and trench/shoring requirements.
• Ability to translate rough sketches into drawings.
• Experience with design software and drawing management.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic engineering plans and Sales drawings with Engineers and Sales staff.
• Prepare drawings from rough sketches, notes, marked-up prints, and instructions with CAD and other design software.
• Translate existing plans into NTS formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Engineers and Salesmen to develop basic engineering plans and Sales drawings.
• Prepare drawings from rough sketches, notes, marked-up prints, written/verbal instructions with CAD, and other design software.
• Translate existing plans into NTS formats

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Basic knowledge of all NTS equipment.
• Proficient in researching the current state of CAD practice .
• Basic knowledge of the OSHA and applicable state and local requirements relative to Trench and ExcavationShoring and Shielding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma: associate/technical degree preferred.
• Minimum (1) one year's experience as a CAD drafter.
