Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Piping Drafter I to join our Houston, TX team. The Drafter will perform drafting assignments for piping equipment, components, structures, or systems in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.

The role requires familiarity with AutoCAD and CADWorx, strong teamwork, and the ability to interpret drawings and redlines while adhering to schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree from a Technical Institution preferred.
• AutoCAD software experience required.
• CADWorx software experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and markups.

Responsibilities

• Initiate high-level drawings following instructions from designer, supervisor, specifications and/or sketches.

Audubon is currently seeking a Piping Drafter I to join our team in Houston, TX Office. The Piping Drafter will perform drafting assignments associated with designing Piping equipment, components, structures or systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiate high-level drawings following instructions from designer, supervisor, specifications and/or sketches.


• Implement revisions and change control per company standards at the direction of senior level designers and engineers.


• Produce drawings from redlines received from designers and engineers.


• Maintain proper file management in accordance with company and industry standards.


• Clarify instructions with designers and engineers when drawing markups or verbal instructions are unclear.


• Perform field data gathering when requested by supervisor or manager.


• Maintain a continued awareness of task schedule and budget.


• Comply with all company and client health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as federal and local HSSE regulations.


• Actively participate in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, and immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents to your supervisor.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
