Menasha Corporation is seeking an Associate Designer to support engineering projects under the supervision of the Design Manager. You will gather inputs, design products in SolidWorks, and ensure conformance to CTI standards while meeting project timelines.
The role requires an AA degree or equivalent and proficiency in CAD, math, and technical communication. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Sales Engineers, and customers to deliver high-quality tooling designs.
Under supervision of the Design Manager, the Associate Designer is assigned a variety of engineering duties including direct assistance to specific Project Managers to complete, compile, and document items on various programs.
Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several absolute and concrete variables.
Job Skill Level Requirements: Display advanced proficiency in the creation of CAD Models for product designs. Training and/or proven proficiency in injection mold design/process/tooling, CAD applications (SolidWorks), drawing mechanics and creation and print reading. Need to be able to use Microsoft Products – PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
