Columbia Distributing is seeking a capable Draft Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service draft accounts, both indoors and outdoors, and to assist with events. The role involves bidding, billing, and coordinating with sales teams to maintain accounts.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication and organizational skills. Local travel is required; weekends may be included.

Draft technicians are responsible for the install, repair, and maintenance of our on and off premise draft accounts. They also set up temporary draft systems for special events, i.e. beer and music festivals.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and service all draft accounts in a timely manner as directed by manager
• Provide bids to retail accounts for services including billing and collection for maintenance
• Assist, prepare and participate in all special events
• Bidding, billing and collection for service work and deliveries
• Assist sales teams with troubleshooting, servicing existing accounts, repair and maintenance
• Point of sales and merchandising
• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with through your job
• Occasional tasting of product may be required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills

This job operates in our accounts, mostly indoors with occasional outdoor work.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, days/hours of work vary, and may include weekends.

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required

Compensation

• Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.

Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
