Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Disaster Recovery Analyst to support enterprise recovery readiness. You will maintain recovery documentation, inventory records, dependencies, testing materials, metrics, and audit-ready evidence. You will validate information with technology teams, support exercises, and track corrective actions to closure.

Under moderate guidance, you will help keep recovery plans current and audit-ready, ensuring timely follow-up on actions and accurate metrics for readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least five years in a technology or technical analysis role.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery, IT Operations, or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain DR inventory, recovery objectives, contact, dependency, evidence, and documentation in enterprise systems.
• Gather and validate recovery information from technology teams, including RTO/RPO and dependencies.
• Support tabletop and functional recovery tests by preparing materials, documenting results, and tracking actions.
• Coordinate recovery exercises, schedule participants, prepare materials, capture evidence, and track follow-ups.
• Organize audit evidence and identify missing or outdated documentation for review by seniors.
• Maintain metrics and status updates for recovery readiness, tests, documentation quality, and corrective actions.

Job Summary

The Disaster Recovery Analyst supports enterprise recovery readiness by maintaining accurate recovery documentation, inventory records, dependency data, testing materials, metrics, and compliance evidence. Working with technology teams and business stakeholders, the Analyst validates recovery information, maintains recovery time objective and recovery point objective documentation, supports exercise execution, and tracks corrective actions through closure. Under moderate guidance, this role helps keep recovery plans consistent, current, and audit-ready.

Success in this role is reflected in current and complete recovery records, well-supported recovery exercises, timely corrective-action follow-up, and audit-ready evidence.

You must be eligible to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.

Job Duties

• Maintain assigned DR inventory, recovery objective, contact, dependency, evidence, and recovery documentation records in approved enterprise systems.
• Gather and validate recovery information from technology teams, including recovery time objectives, recovery point objectives, system dependencies, supporting infrastructure, vendor contacts, and cloud and software-as-a-service recovery details.
• Support tabletop, functional, and scenario-based recovery tests by preparing materials, capturing evidence, documenting results, and tracking follow-up actions.
• Coordinate recovery exercises and lead assigned activities, including scheduling, participant communication, material preparation, evidence capture, results documentation, and follow-up action tracking.
• Organize audit and regulatory evidence and identify missing, stale, or incomplete documentation for review by senior team members.
• Maintain metrics and status updates for recovery readiness, completed tests, documentation quality, and corrective actions, including ownership, due dates, and closure status.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of experience in a technology or technical analysis role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Two to four years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, IT Operations, Technology Resilience, Infrastructure, Cloud, or Technology Risk.
• Strong knowledge of systems and networks.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to improve the DR program.
• Ability to understand and apply disaster recovery concepts across on-premises and cloud environments, including mainframe, IBM i, and virtual machine platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to gather technical information, document recovery requirements and test results, and communicate status to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Skills in planning, problem solving, organization and management
