Job summary

The Town of Carlisle’s Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for Driver/Operator/Laborer and Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer positions. Work includes roadway maintenance, drainage, snow plowing, mowing, and other municipal projects.

CDL is required for Driver/Operator/Laborer, and a 2B Hoisting Engineer License is required for Heavy Equipment Operator roles. Background check and pre-employment drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL is required for Driver/Operator/Laborer roles.
• A valid 2B Hoisting Engineer License is required for Heavy Equipment Operator roles.
• Ability to perform manual labor and operate equipment in varied weather.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and light equipment such as dump and plow trucks.
• Perform manual labor on Public Works projects.
• Support roadway maintenance, drainage work, snow plowing and sanding.
• Assist with street repair and park infrastructure as needed.
