Oracle Cloud Infrastructure seeks a Senior Principal Software Engineer to own a major DPU platform subsystem spanning networking and storage. You will drive architecture, define contracts, and coordinate across teams to deliver high-performance data paths and reliable offload transitions.

You will shape decisions on host vs DPU responsibilities, latency targets, and end-to-end integration, while mentoring engineers and ensuring production readiness.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in systems or infrastructure software with hands-on storage or networking data paths.
• Demonstrated technical ownership of a major subsystem across components and teams.
• Deep expertise in storage or networking data path architecture and optimization.
• Strong hands-on C/C++ and deep knowledge of Linux, synchronization, memory management, multicore architectures, and performance analysis.
• Familiarity with cross-domain networking/storage concepts and cross-domain performance considerations.
• Experience defining component boundaries, contracts, and performance budgets.
• Ability to drive technical alignment across teams while staying involved in implementation and debugging.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Own subsystem architecture and delivery plans; define contracts and boundaries.
• Shape data path decisions across host, DPU software, firmware, and hardware.
• Lead delivery across component owners and manage integration risks.
• Set end-to-end performance expectations for throughput, tail latency, and efficiency.
• Collaborate across storage and networking to optimize I/O processing and data integrity.
• Lead integration, readiness reviews, and safe upgrade strategies.
• Mentor engineers in architectural judgment and system debugging.
• Promote reusable AI practices across subsystem engineering.
