Job summary

South College's School of Physical Therapy in Knoxville, Tennessee is accepting applications for multiple faculty positions. We are seeking dynamic, engaging, and passionate educational leaders to join our industry leading blended learning Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or full Professor.

The role includes expertise in physiology, exercise physiology, and complex patient management.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (DPT, PhD, DSc, EdD) in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee or the state of residence.
• ABPTS specialization or advanced certification preferred.
• Prior experience teaching in a CAPTE accredited DPT program.
• Minimum five years of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical practice.
• Able to travel overnight or for extended periods to Knoxville for lab and student events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver assigned physical therapy courses based on expertise and experience.
• Create distance education and onsite lab immersive learning experiences.
• Develop and deliver assessments of student performance using traditional and nontraditional methods.
• Maintain current records of student participation and grades.
• Provide timely quality academic performance feedback to students.
• Lead or participate in post-course assessment activities and evaluations.
• Ensure teaching responsibilities comply with accreditation policies and CAPTE guidelines.
• Engage in scholarly works contributing to the profession.
• Engage in service activities within the department and college.
