Job summary

Pechanga Resort and Casino seeks a DPS Bike Patrol Officer to safeguard assets and guests while enforcing rules and regulations in line with federal, state, and local laws. The role covers internal safety duties and external patrols across parking structures, RV resort, golf course, and gas station.

The officer will work as part of a public safety team, issuing reports, responding to incidents, and collaborating with tribal rangers and other agencies to protect patrons and staff in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year experience in Military, Security or Law Enforcement.
• Must be able to obtain a Class "A" gaming license and possess required permits (Weapons, Title 31, etc).
• Outgoing, energetic, and capable of interacting with the public in a professional manner; willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment at all times at Pechanga Resort and Casino.
• Enforce policies, rules, regulations and laws pertaining to PRC; follow and uphold them.
• Patrol external areas: parking structures, RV Resort, golf course and gas station.
• Enforce gaming regulations per internal control policy; respond to calls for service.
• Prepare written statements and reports; coordinate with tribal rangers and outside law enforcement.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The DPS Bike Patrol Officer is responsible for safeguarding Pechanga Resort & Casino assets and its guests, patrons and team members. Also responsible for enforcing rules and regulations in accordance with set Pechanga Resort and Casino policies and procedures along with local, state and federal laws.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT

All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure a safe environment at all times at Pechanga Resort and Casino.
• Ensure all policies, rules, regulations and laws as it pertains to PRC are followed and upheld.
• Responsible for external areas of Pechanga Resort and Casino to include parking structures, RV Resort, golf course and Gas Station.
• Enforce gaming regulations in accordance with the internal control policy.
• Enforce traffic regulations, vehicle codes, and penal codes.
• Work as an armed public safety officer.
• Respond to and assist on traffic accidents.
• Maintain positive communications and relations with all persons.
• Observe and report unusual/unsafe conditions.
• Prevention of crime and disorderly conduct.
• Provide assistance to patrons and team members as needed.
• Preparing written statements and reports.
• Respond to calls for service as requires.
• Work closely with tribal rangers and outside law enforcement agencies.
• Will protect the assets of Pechanga resort and casino.
• Other duties as assigned

ACCOUNTALIBITY: This position does not have any supervisory or managerial responsibilities

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED; At least 1 year relative experience in Military, Security or Law Enforcement is required to successfully perform this job; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Furthermore, this position also requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

This position require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
