Job summary

Amazon Lab126 in Dallas, TX is seeking a seasoned Manager, Technical Operations to lead a team responsible for factory readiness, production launch, process development, and sustained operations. You will define strategy, set goals, and drive cross-functional execution to deliver programs on time, at low cost, and with high quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments.
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or troubleshooting problems to streamline challenges.
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
• 2+ years of PLC programming experience.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
• Experience with program management across planning, execution and delivery.
• Experience communicating results to senior leadership across teams.
• 10+ years in manufacturing ops with at least 3 years managing technical ICs.
• Data analysis using Matlab, JMP, or Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Own performance, delivery, and development of a team across factory readiness, process development, and sustained operations.
• Define team goals and strategy, including capacity planning, cost targets, yield goals, and on-time delivery commitments.
• Set program priorities and align resources across Engineering, Quality, Automation, Supply Chain, and manufacturing partners.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding to accelerate skill growth and expose teams to DPO programs and processes.
• Coach and develop direct reports with regular performance feedback.
• Drive process improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Communicate program status, risks, and decisions to leadership up to three levels above.
