Job summary

Cottage Health in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a Materials Coordinator for the Surgery department to plan and oversee the flow of equipment, materials and parts. Responsible for inventory controls and supporting departmental material needs, with leadership responsibilities for Inventory Tech staff.

Preferred candidates have a Bachelor's or AA in business or supply chain, knowledge of Excel and healthcare ERP systems, and about five years in hospital materials management. Total Rewards apply.

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Materials Coordinator for their Surgery department responsible for arranging, planning, accelerating and overseeing flow of equipment, materials, parts, and other items according to required need, priorities, or schedules. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized inventory controls. Coordinate, advise and support departmental material and logistical needs. Responsibilities include:

• Completes requisitions for inventory, non-stock and specialty order items for Materials as well as assists other departments with such orders.
• Acts as a lead to Inventory Tech staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:

• Preferred: AA or Bachelor’s Degree in business or supply chain related field.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Preferred: Certifications in relation to Materials Management or Supply Chain (CRMP, etc).

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum: Knowledge of database programs such as Excel.
• Preferred: Healthcare experience with supply management or inventory processes and systems. Knowledge of healthcare ERP systems (Lawson, Oracle, etc) and applications.

Years of Related Work Experience:

• Preferred: Five (5) years of hospital or healthcare supply chain or materials management experience.

*Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
