Job summary

Job description

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Cottage Therapy Services Aide for their SBCH Outpatient Therapy Services Department. This position primarily supports pediatric physical, occupational, and speech therapy services and works closely with therapists serving infants, children, and adolescents. Responsible for supporting the provision of therapy services by performing a variety of duties including cleaning treatment environments and equipment according to specific schedules, maintaining equipment inventories, stocking supplies and linen, setting up equipment and supplies for treatment and transporting patients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:

• Preferred: Associate's Degree or in process of completing undergraduate degree.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Minimum: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum: Basic MS Outlook and Word skill.
• Preferred: Basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology skills. Safe body mechanics and how to lift and move patients and equipment. Basic MS Excel skills.

Years of Related Work Experience:

• Preferred: Previous work experience in a health care environment.

*Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health’s annual management incentive program. Physician compensation is determined based upon specialty and may include bonus potential.
