Job summary

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Materials Coordinator in the Surgery department to arrange, plan, accelerate and oversee the flow of equipment, materials, parts and other items according to required need, priorities, or schedules.

The role includes compiling and maintaining manual or computerized inventory controls and coordinating, advising, and supporting departmental material and logistical needs.

Qualifications

• AA or Bachelor's Degree in business or supply chain related field preferred.
• Certifications in relation to Materials Management or Supply Chain (CRMP, etc) preferred.
• Knowledge of Excel and healthcare ERP systems (Lawson, Oracle) preferred.
• Five years of hospital or healthcare supply chain or materials management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes requisitions for inventory, non-stock and specialty items for Materials and assists other departments with such orders.
• Acts as a lead to Inventory Tech staff.

Compiles and maintains manual or computerized inventory controls. Coordinate, advise and support departmental material and logistical needs. Responsibilities include:

• Completes requisitions for inventory, non-stock and specialty order items for Materials as well as assists other departments with such orders.
• Acts as a lead to Inventory Tech staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Preferred: AA or Bachelor's Degree in business or supply chain related field.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• Preferred: Certifications in relation to Materials Management or Supply Chain (CRMP, etc).

Technical Requirements

• Minimum: Knowledge of database programs such as Excel.
• Preferred: Healthcare experience with supply management or inventory processes and systems. Knowledge of healthcare ERP systems (Lawson, Oracle, etc) and applications.

Years of Related Work Experience

• Preferred: Five (5) years of hospital or healthcare supply chain or materials management experience.
