Job summary

OSM Thome Limited is seeking an experienced Motorman / Oiler for a DP offshore subsea rock installation vessel trading in the North Sea, with joining in Rotterdam. You will support the engine department in safe operation, maintenance and housekeeping of engine spaces.

The role requires minimum 2 years' DP offshore experience, STCW for the rank, seafarer's medical certificate for the North Sea, and good English. Experience on US-flag or international vessels is an advantage.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience as Motorman / Oiler on a DP offshore subsea rock installation vessel or similar DP offshore vessel.
Valid STCW certificates applicable to the rank.
Valid seafarer's medical certificate suitable for service in the North Sea.
Experience on US-flag or international offshore vessels is an advantage.
Good command of working English for communication and safety procedures.
Fit for engine room work, including confined spaces and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine engine room watchkeeping and rounds.
Assist with operation and basic maintenance of main and auxiliary engines, pumps, compressors and related equipment.
Perform oiling, greasing and cleaning of machinery and engine room spaces.
Assist engineers during repairs, overhauls and planned maintenance; monitor machinery parameters and report abnormalities.
Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards in all machinery spaces.
Follow all safety procedures, permits to work and environmental rules onboard.
