Job Title: Dozer Operator – Underground Utilities

Pay: $24-$35/hourly *Dependent on job stability and years of experience demonstrated on resume*

We are a family-owned and operated underground utilities company with a strong reputation for quality work and a team-oriented culture. We specialize in installing water, sewer, and storm drain systems, and we are currently looking for an experienced Dozer Operator to join our growing team.

Job Description: As a Dozer Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a GPS-equipped dozer to move earth and materials, support trenching operations, backfilling, grading, and other tasks related to underground utility installation. You’ll work closely with a crew in a fast-paced construction environment and play a key role in ensuring our projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a GPS-enabled dozer to support excavation and backfill of water, sewer, and storm drain piping systems.
• Follow site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from foremen and project managers.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Work safely around other heavy equipment, utility lines, and crew members.
• Maintain productivity while ensuring jobsite safety and quality standards.
• Assist with other labor or equipment tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Minimum 3 years of dozer-specific experience, including work with GPS-guided systems (Trimble, Topcon, or similar).
• Experience with underground utility installation is a strong plus.
• Ability to read grade stakes, understand site plans, and follow grade specifications.
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions on active construction sites.
• Reliable transportation required.
