Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, seeks a skilled crawler tractor operator to level earth and manage material on heavy civil projects. You will operate a crawler tractor with a bulldozer, perform routine maintenance, and follow safety procedures on outdoor sites in Texas.

Qualifications

• Less than a High School Diploma and related construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• May operate a ripper attachment to break up rock or other hard material.
• May use a push block on front of tractor to push load scrappers.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
• Make necessary adjustment to equipment as needed.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
