Job summary

Hemphill Construction Company is seeking a dozer operator to excavate, grade and move materials on various heavy construction projects. You will work closely with a crew to complete tasks, operate additional equipment, and maintain a safe, efficient work site.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability and the ability to follow schedules while mentoring peers and performing general labor duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience operating a dozer.
• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• CDL (Class A/B) strongly preferred; OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dozer to excavate, perform rough grading, load materials and clean up.
• Work cooperatively with the crew to accomplish tasks.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and safe for use.
• Participate in training to strengthen technical, safety and other skills.
• Operate other construction equipment as required.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment including equipment.
• Perform general labor tasks as required for the job.
• Train and mentor other workers on operating equipment and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.
