Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team in Fountain, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated, and will operate a Dozer and related equipment safely and efficiently, performing pre- and post-inspections.

You will maintain work areas with berms and roads, assist with hauls, drill bench prep, and drainage as needed, participate in safety programs, and help train co-workers while following MSHA rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Experience with mobile/construction equipment is preferred.
• Experience operating a dozer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dozer within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Participate in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follow MSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Construct haul roads, prepare drill benches, level shot material after blasting, and construct drainage as needed.
• Assist in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles as needed.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and report needed repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep equipment clean and well-kept.
• Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site.
• Operate other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks safely as needed.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Summary:

Martin Marietta is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Dozer and other related equipment as necessary for daily operations. The dozer operator will perform daily pre and post inspection of equipment and working areas, and safely maintain work areas by ensuring these areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways.

A typical day for a (n) Dozer Operator may include:

• Operating a dozer within the company guidelines and safety standards

• Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulations

• Constructing haul roads, prepares drill bench, levels shot material after blasting, and constructs drainage as needed

• Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as needed

• Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor

• Performing preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment

• Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site

• Operating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed

• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed

• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

You may be a good fit if you:

• Possess High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position

• Have eexperience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plant

• Have eexperience in operation and maintenance of a dozer (preferred)
