Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile construction equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of MSHA safety rules is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dozer in accordance with safety standards and company policies.
• Perform pre- and post-shift inspections and report repairs.
• Maintain site berms, roadways, and clean work areas.
• Assist with loader production and stockpile management.
• Support training of co-workers as needed.
• Operate other equipment (loaders, haul trucks) safely as required.
• Participate in safety programs and adhere to plant safety rules.

Job description

Martin Marietta is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team . The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Dozer and other related equipment as necessary for daily operations. The dozer operator will perform daily pre and post inspection of equipment and working areas, and safely maintain work areas by ensuring these areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways.

A typical day for a (n) Dozer Operator m ay include:

• Operating a dozer within the company guidelines and safety standards
• Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulations
• Constructing haul roads, prepares drill bench, levels shot material after blasting, and constructs drainage as needed
• Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as needed
• Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor
• Performing preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
• Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed
• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

You may be a good fit if you :

• Possess High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
• Have e xperience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plant
• Have e xperience in operation and maintenance of a dozer ( preferred )
