Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety conscious, dependable, and motivated, and will operate a dozer and related equipment to support daily operations at our site.

The role includes pre- and post-inspections, maintaining work areas and berms, and helping with safety programs. Hours are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with weekends and overtime as needed; training and collaboration with other operators are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of mobile equipment.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of a dozer (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate a dozer within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Participate in safety inspections and follow MSHA safety rules.
• Construct haul roads and prepare drill bench; level material after blasting.
• Aiding loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections and report needed repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized.
• Maintain safe traffic flow on site and operate other equipment as needed.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Martin Marietta is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Dozer and other related equipment as necessary for daily operations. The dozer operator will perform daily pre and post inspection of equipment and working areas, and safely maintain work areas by ensuring these areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways. Hours are 7:00 am - 5:00 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.

A typical day for a(n) Dozer Operator may include:

• Operating a dozer within the company guidelines and safety standards
• Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulations
• Constructing haul roads, prepares drill bench, levels shot material after blasting, and constructs drainage as needed
• Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as needed
• Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor
• Performing preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
• Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed
• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

You may be a good fit if you:

• Possess High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
• Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plants
• Have experience in operation and maintenance of a dozer (preferred)
