Job summary

Doyle Security Services is seeking an armed? or unarmed? security guard to observe and report activities at client sites in Melville, NY. The role requires standing for much of the shift and involves patrolling, monitoring cameras, and enforcing site rules.

Schedule is Saturday–Sunday 0800–1600 and Monday–Wednesday 1600–0000 (40 hours). Up to USD 18.00 per hour, with benefits such as medical, vision, dental, 401K, PTO and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required.
• Valid NYS Security Guard License.
• Must have valid drivers license.
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form.
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site to ensure security of property and personnel.
• Patrols premises and monitors surveillance equipment to check for irregularities.
• Completes reports by recording observations and interviewing witnesses.
• Ensures entry control and safety procedures at access points.
• Performs tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Saturday & Sunday 0800-1600 & Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday 1600-0000 (40 hrs.)

Up to USD $18.00/Hr.

• Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
