Job summary

CBEST, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, is hiring school-based Behavior Technicians to provide 1:1 ABA therapy for students with behavioral needs in the Downtown LA area. In this role, you will support children in reaching social, emotional, and behavioral goals within a school setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of experience with autism or related needs, and be available Monday through Friday, 7:50am–3:30pm (30 hours/week).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with Autism or other special needs.
• Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 7:50am - 3:30pm, 30 hours per week.
• ABA training and knowledge of CPI or Safety Care (QBS) strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Reliable transportation and willing to commute up to 10 miles (30-45 minutes).
• Physically able to kneel, run short distances, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to students with moderate to severe behaviors in a school setting.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) developed by Case Supervisors.
• Support students in developing functional communication, social skills, academic success, and daily living abilities.
• Track and document progress, behavior data, and session notes accurately.
• Maintain consistent attendance and professional communication with staff and supervisors.
