Job summary
Bionova Scientific LLC seeks a motivated Scientist in the Purification Development group, developing downstream processes for mAbs, bispecifics, enzymes, and recombinant proteins. As Associate Scientist II, PD Downstream, you will own projects in process development, troubleshooting, tech transfers, and client interactions.
Ideal candidate has BS/MS in Biological Sciences and 2–4 years’ experience, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Biological Sciences or related disciplines.
- 2–4 years of relevant industry experience.
- In-depth understanding of protein chemistry and purification processes.
- Excellent written and oral scientific communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate purification workflows and tech transfers.
- Create tools to enable scale-up and first-pass tech transfer.
- Support multiple client projects in protein purification.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on downstream processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and new capabilities.
- Assist in interpreting data and recommending actions.
- Troubleshoot equipment and testing to identify root causes.
- Prepare technical documents and regulatory filing support.
